No, too busy as far as I know. I think Hallucinogen at least is elsewhere during Boom week (and you can't have Shpongle without SP).

Well, with Tristan on the bill, odds on they did talk to Twisted at some point, but couldn't get SP - so I don't think it's fair to rag on them for it.

And I find it interesting that a guy who's talking about 'sweet and fair' advocates ripping and copying music at 192k.

a3k, some people know how much Boom festival organizers offer to some artists! If the ticket was 30 or 40 euros, it would be ok, but for 80 or 100, is not acceptable.

Care to show us the maths you used to come to this figure? As I said, it's not just the amount the festival pays an artist to play, but the cost of the air fare to get them to Portugal on top of that.

100 Euros for 5 days of stomping music sounds pretty fair to me.

carry on sir - as I sit here in my corporate job with a shit case of the flu and they won't let me go home as I have used up too many sick days.....I dream of sun and lakes and mountains - and the stomping music. No of politics and petty arguments. Everyone take notice of Psycherelic - he/she has at least done their homework prior to putting forward "constructive crticism" In NZ where I come from - they call that whinging...he he he!

lol dont be so lame dude.
they pay all the fest buils just with the first 2000 pre sale tickets. Open your eyes they expecting 15 000 people. About shpongle being busy i can say only this, they have 2 years to prepare this...
Any way we are going in circles here.           If copy kills your music, then rip it 192k

Hey! Everyone gonna get naked at Boom and run around screaming about potatoes? I would pay 100e to see that - but not GMS....

Sorry - boredom is taking over

Likewise... *rolls eyes*

A_Agonia : 2 years... You mean to say you don't think they've done anything between 'TOTI' and this year? What are you like?!

Hallucinogen's playing at the Glade Festival in a couple of weeks - which is a hella load more expensive than Boom (about 115 Euros), and runs for a shorter period of time (3 days - though the UK is one of the hardest and most expensive places to run a festie). Raja Ram's off doing his own thing at the moment as far as I know, so don't expect a Shpongle live anywhere any time soon.

This is not GoodMood's fault, so quit moaning!

people let´s see one thing...maybe 4 some pockets 100 euros is alittle bit expensive...no doubt about that...but...using that excuse 4 complaining about the line up...not fair...even if it was a little bit lower the cost of the ticket people would complain about the line up....
a little bit of maths:
70 euros / 5 days = 14 euros a day
85 euros/ 5 days = 17 euros a day
100 euros / 5 days = 20 euros a day

the final price is the price u regullary pay 4 a normal partie...and thix isn´t anormal partie...u don´t have only dancefloor and xill_out, u have alot of other things 2...i like 2 see them...i´m not only there 4 the music...of course is the main reason...but there are a lot of other good things 2 do...
they can have a some profits of it...but see their expenses...payin 4 the rent of the place...not cheap at all....
payin 4 the artists....trance and xill out, and there are some legends here...not cheap at all...and their flight also...
payin 4 toillets and showers....payin the people who work there...paying 4 flyers...4 printing boom money ....there a lot of expenses we can imagine....
i´m not defending them....there are no saints in thix promised land....but people have 2 become more conscious about the concerns and bills thix brings....
ask 4 the people of hipnose who made etnica last year...and see how hard it was 2 organise the festival.....
in the last day...in the morning they were still charging 40 euros at entrance..people is not that easy makin a fest....i dare each one of u...2 make one fest...book your favorite artists...and then see 4 the expenses....ok?
people sometimes 1+1=2, is not that easy 2 make maths right...there are a lot of factores we have 2 count on....           ...

I think the chillout lineup is incredible. If I could go to boom, I'd just stay on the chillout island and only visit the mainstage while star sound orchestra, rinkadink and menog

big names or not, this will be a hell of a gathering. Make sure the complaints dont get in front of you having a nice and educating experience.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

After reading all this, I felt I have to provide you with some figuers......
We have been organizing events in Lebanon for the past 3 years, Due to political reasons we couldnt get any Israeli act to play in any of our parties. We were paying for the live act something between 2000-3000 Euros, and for the Dj Set a max of 2000 Euros. All of them were from Europe. Im sorry to reveal those numbers but I felt that you all should have an idea about whats going on. Big names may ask for more money, but the max that a big live act has asked for was 4000 Euros (with negotiating it went down)(based on my personal experience).
With some calculations, 20 live acts for 2500 each as an average price is 50000 Euros . (only 710 presale tickets will cover this).
Dont you all think, its our right to get more for what we are paying. We need bigger production, better sound quality, better decoration, lasers, and last but not least........... The Best Live Acts, its not about the money that they ask for, its about the money that organizers want to make more. We are the consumers and we should have the decision. They had two years of organization, they could have listened to some suggestions on their website, but its not what they can offer us, its about what they want to offer us.
We are paying a lot, and we should get a lot.

Was that inclusive or exclusive of air fare?

Personally, I think we *are* getting a lot... and with names like Space Tribe, Rinkadink, Shift, Dark Nebula et al on the list we *are* also getting some of the best live acts.

Well, I know from experience - promoters in the UK pay a standard rate for a lot of artists - eg. Alien Project 2500USD plus airfare, plus 5 star hotel, same for Psydrop. Skazi to his credit stayed at the promoters house although did ask for the same amount.

To book Astral Projection - I think the figure was closer to $5000, plus all the other trimmings. These guys do not stay in a tent and shower out of doors, but will stay in the nearest town in the nicest place, fly in on the day and fly out again. Expensive stuff peeps - I should know, I used to be a travel agent!

but isnt there the case that boom has been a festival which does not book major big artists that much?
I guess its the entrance fee that confused people this much. maybe if it was a more reasonable price there wouldnt be this much critisizm. As far as I have read, I think people are getting the feeling that the boom organizers have booked the lineup a lot of financial benefits in mind and this may damage the view of boom in peoples minds.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

blah blah blah...

Man i cant even believe that good mood offers disconted prices for people from developed countries (that is a not common thing to do, you dont see woodstock, glastonbury etc doing that)

As much as I care Im going on holiday to chill out nad have a nice time, if i thought the festival was too expensive or it wasnt worth it I would not complain the only thing I would do is simply not go.

I suggest you guys doing the same, stop bitch about this and that make your mind up, you can scream, cry do whatever you want and the price will still be the same, in fact it will go up some time soon.

the line-up is not good? well man, their are plenty of other festivals for you to go, where they offer you 'better' line-ups e.g. full-moon but not my cup of tea, as i can imagine the result of such line-ups.

now for the babas that are going I can only say fuuuuuuck yeah see you @ the dance floor with that energy.

Analog-experience the boom "festival"is annoying.
The line up is the CRAP

And i will speak not 8 but 8.000 times for the PRICE.
Financially,Portugal is very close to Greek standarts,so 700 tickets is MORE than enough to cover the whole thing,WITHOUT the artists.
Now about tickets from south africa no more than 1200 euro (maximum).Same for australia...Someone said about 4 i think veterans, professionals.Sorry i want more (and iam not the only one

He said also about rubish for my post about what happened when the line up was released.
(now i am laughing) You can count how many Greeks you will see coming and then you,ll get the picture compared with previous Boom fests.(i am speaking for my country)

Big artists put themselfs out of the market?
What is a market?
A space where ppl pay to buy.Why do i have to trust something i don't know, and afterall why do i have to pay about it so much?
So who is runing this market?THE ORGANISERS are trying to hard to do this

But they simply going to face the truth at the end...

YOU will not run the "market"
PPL will run it,and ,sorry again, most of us want the big artists.YOU KNOW THIS
And most of them does not know that this forum exists. It is a forum for ppl knowing reflex, regan, and most of the good, yes, artists included in the line up,BUT uknown massively to pay 100 euro to listen to.Imagine now that we had to TRAVEL also.

Sorry again but you will remember all these at the end of the festival.
The organisers will have a lesson
And they know it already

Annoying again
