I'm Israeli and i think that it's very good that there are almost no Israeli names on the line-up besides Azax Sin_ & Zirkin.
In my opinion most Israeli trance sucks, and I have them here enough, so I'd reather have all the other names when Im going abroad for this kind of event. I think the line-up is very good. Well diversed and lot's of quality music.
Can't wait for this event!

I personally think Goodmood are doing exactly the right thing and taking this festival down a different path.....how many times have we seen Astrix, GMS and all those other full on boys play their CD's and dance around like loons to music that you can listen to in your lounge room....how many of you have heard a Tribeadelic Sound from the Australian bush at 8:00 in the morning.....just amazing, makes you kick up dust and realise that you can trance - trance music is exactly that, music which allows you to trance out - they have cancelled out the rock concert vibe, where the music stops and starts and everyone looks at the stage - for fucks sake, they are not playing instruments, you cannot watch a great drum solo....anyone here remember Emok's set at Samothraki last year??? Spine tingling stuff in 38 degrees of heat with around 4000 people just going off - to progressive music - thats right peeps, good solid progressive psychedelic beats...
Adventurous is the word here. not being afraid to do something a little different, people that are touring the festivals will see Infected or Skazi or Wrecked Machines or GMS play maybe 5 or 6 times - what is the point when you can have Dark Nebula, Atmos and others rock your world.....this scene is so blinkered sometimes when it is meant to be about acceptance and discovering new boundaries. My bet is - watch the CD sales of some of these guys rise after the festie....that is if they don't get ripped off the net!
Big wraps to the BOOM for breaking the norm and making me more excited about this event than ever! Got my tickets last week, so now it just less than a two month countdown - wooooo fucking hooooo!! |

I am not paying to create good vibes...
I am paying to GET good vibes!!!
Go and pay them to promote all this crap!
WAKE UP
THEY are stealing your money out of NOTHING
Bye bye suckers

Ummmm - I was at Samothraki and heard Alien Project and Avi Alegranati (unsure of sp. Space Cat anyways) or do DJ's not count? I think people have woken up and realised that there are other countries in this world making psy trance. I am sorry but I do not want to hear the same basslines and the same stabs and the same cheeeeese that seems to go with a lot of these artists...try something new - change is as good as a holiday man.....thats what we all want anyways... |

essbee-->wise words baba.
I was dissapointed by the line-up as well in the beginning. But i trust the organizers blindly. They have almost a decade of experience in organizing such events and i hope that the ppl and the music will set the right mood and we all will enjoy to the max.
See ya @ Boom

Pavel - I am sure we will. Hiring a nine seater car in Lisbon doesn't really go with the flow of environmental protection, but it will help with supplies when they need topping up and A/C will be a god send.......sorry to Mother Nature...
My advice - bring a gazebo or two for the campsite! |

I was a bit dissapointed with the line-up at first, but hey, If you're not living on the edge you're wasting space.....
So what if the big names are not there, Fuck it!
The guys who've been booked are obviously good at what thay do or they wouldn't be booked for such a big festival as boom.
ITS BOOM FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE, stop complaining and come!!!!
Rather than feeling that you're about to have the rug pulled from under you, let me teach you how to dance on a flying carpet |

Maybe this line up is not COMMERCIAL POPPY TRANCE, but he want see again & again the usual suspects in Trance.
BIG NAMES is not allways a guarantee for good party & good music.....Go & enjoy with some fresh blood
THIS MUSIC DON´T NEED STARTS OR IDOLS,
IT´S A KIND OF CONTRACULTURE

Many of us bought the tickets in presale because BOOM has tradition, good reputation and licence to be one of the best festivals in the world. Why don't we all put our trust into the hands of some new, this-year-established, fresh-blood festival and why will 15.000 ppl attend the BOOM instead? Obviosly BIG NAME means a lot: as for the festival as for the musician. Less (known, proved, experienced) is not more. This doesn't mean that we won't have a good time and appreciate the newcomers, only I wouldn't complain if the line up is a little bit stronger (something like Glade festival ) and not based on newbees. Status of well-known musician is (usually) earned by talent, long-time hard work and devotion to the scene - so, little respect wouldn't harm, it's not about idolatry.
Balance is the key. Anyway I hope we will have a good time. |

well im happy to go to boom because its not the same old festival..why do people want the same experience over and over..boom never promised to be like the full moon or other like festivals with all poptrance..in fact last time boom also had many new artists such as penta and now look where he is..playing all over the world...sure if we want to trance to be a routine then go for it..to me the boom lineup goes with the ever changing concept of psytrance...if you want pop listen to the radio if you want an experience open up to the possibilites...
  freaks unite!!!! |
