here in brazil I know that dj swarup is confirmed.... nice to see one of the best vibes in the dance floor playing again europe.... after voov, antares, shiva moon and lots more..... I reaaly want to go.... but I dont know if I will have money.... there is a lot of people going .... it would be nice to see some brazilian people freaking out there.... hehehehhe.... |

the point is (and i say this without meaning to cause any offence) that if all the festival is to you is a chance to hear your favourite artists - buy the albums and listen to them at home!
as for me, the last festival i was at (solipse in sa, 2002)blew my mind, not because of the music (as it turned out, some of the 'big names' didn't show), but because of the warm wonderful people, the beauty of the location, the chilling and laughing with my mates, making new friends, being surrounded by natural beauty and the overwhelming and powerful sense of community which i will never forget.
the music just happened to be great as well, but the most fun i had on the dance-floor was when the lesser known and often local acts and djs were playing - i want someone on the decks who's at the party with me, who's part of the community, not someone who's going through the motions so he can pack up his computer at the end of his set, collect his fat cheque and leave...

So if all it is is a music festival, then what about the nature, the healing areas, drumming workshops, capoera and all the other things which make up the "Boom Spirit". If it was only a main stage playing psy trance and whatever else, I would stay home.
It is all the other things which make it special and it is a sad reflection of trance lovers these days, that they see "psychedelic" as a form of music and not the culture that it has evolved into over the years |

guys u r too maximalistic, it's a mix, like a culture is not only architecture or painting  )
But as for me - I don't like painting does it mean that I lost for culture?:))))) But all of us have different priorities, I suppose, so the lack of information is not good for ppl who's, for example planning his trip around Europe and looking for particular artists and it doesn't mean that the music is the only interest for them ))
As for me - it's good to know all details and it doesn't hinder me to feel great spirit at all
Take it easy ;-)

For those who are worrying about the line-up, first let us know if you have been to BOOM.
If you have not, then you really don't know and can't understand the BOOM festival and the spirit that lies there.
Listen to those that have been. Open your mind and experience something if you have not already. The VOOV does not even let you know the line-up until you are there. Why? Because that is the trance spirit! A great line-up will mean a bad party if the people at the party are not their for the right reasons.
The right people can make a party with a bad line-up great.
Yes, it is a music festival. But BOOM is about so much more than music.

unfortunately,just went to Boom 2000 and 2002 editions...the earlier ones must have been amazing...
i'm pretty sure most people that attend boom festival will be there with the "right spirit"...and when you talk about going there for the right reasons,don't u think MUSIC is just as right as it can be???
then you mention VOOV...ok...good point.but I wonder if Boom org isn't just trying to copycat that attitude... 
look,i'm pretty sure Boom will be great,line up included!!!but what's the point of holding out names that are confirmed already and already shown as booked for the event on artists and label's websites???
some conspiracy theory fans might even say it's a premeditated stunt to get some people to postpone purchasing the ticket...at least till after June the 15th...
of course that's just bad gossip

I'm gonna buy my ticket this weekend, even not knowing the complete line-up. The Boom vibe and spirit are reasons enough for me... and knowing that Atmos will be there is a also a great help  |

we've heard that there's a regular train from Lisboa to Castelo Branco for 9 euros.
Does anyone know if this is right?
If so, how often does it go?
We are not sure whether to hire a car or take this train. |

he was playin at omni, but his name has been removed from the list. i was worried. then i recieved confirmation he is playin exclusivly at BooM!! even betta!!
