When K bbK bbK bbK bb is done right (like that part in skazi - acelera where it breaks down to the boom dugga boom dugga boom dugga bit) it's easily my fav of any bassline, including melodic/funky/blah ones. Ahh something about that boom dugga boom dugga is just awesome.

Same here. I much preffer it to the kbbb pattern as well. It sounds anal but one note makes such a difference. There is also more space for the sustaining boom of the kick with the extra gap the k-bbk-bbk pattern.
And this galloping pattern is so much better for psychedelic vibes than hectic kbbbkbbbkbbb patterns which are better for full-on stuff.           Me>You

Must agree on this one. That extra space for the kick sustain is just sweet

i think the best example of an artist who playes with note lengths and can innovate on the classic duggu duggu bass is Derango,
good example is the track Fnatt on tumult album
a little filter modulation and playing with the filter envelope can do wonders!!

Id like to take this opportunity 2 say DAMN ALL YOU DUGGU DUGGU FULL POWER DARKPSY ARTISTS!!
im sick of it... plss experiment more and stop copying everybody else. this music has become disposable like pop music..
all these innovative breaks and stuff arnt gonna keep you going for long...its just a trend. Youll need to start making some real music..not just for ppl with acid in their heads
