I agree, and people who went to Ozora this year know that...The chill stage was changed into techno stage almost every night and I didn't look any good. They were stomping and dancing all over the carpets meant for sitting on,and there were people thinking that they should do the same to the music during the day also. So it is best to have a separate stage for those restless minds to dance to, and keep the ambient stage a place to calm down. Also it is good the have a danceable alternative to the main stage, because you just can't chill or listen the aggressive night music, but you need something to dance to... And many people like those sounds( I personally don't) that also like psychedelic sounds, so be it..
Boom wouldn't be the same without it( as Smiley Pixie said ), believe me...the organizers know what they are doing:)

i agree
one of the best things in BOOM is that they have so many stages/spaces to go to, to change the scenery/music/mood, its not only about stomping on a dancefloor or lying in a chillout tent, period. personally i wouldnt wanna go if it was only that, after some years you just get bored with these two options if you have nothing more. but in BOOM its also performances, lectures, movies, healing area, workshops, instrumental music (such amazing performances at Sacred Fire in 2008 for example!) and a whole lot more...
besides, having one stage MORE (not less) how can possibly hurt anyone?? maybe if it were the other way around... but this way you get to choose, its a good thing

sue: I think the point Babube is making is that with this extra stage and lineup it attracts so many people who have no connection or interest in the psychedelic culture..
And why have it ? For more money and people ? Thats why people keep saying its gone total commercial, their own moves that is.
Will be interesting to see what they will do this time.

ah yes but i dont agree with that. they didnt invite mainstream superstar techno djs to play at groovy beach last edition, maybe extrawelt was the biggest name and they have their roots in psytrance which can be felt very much in their recent music too. anyways i really dont believe its for more money, Boom is gonna have the 26.000 visitors NO MATTER WHAT, they've had it 2 years ago and 4 and 6... they simply dont need to open for 'mainstream'. i really believe its variety what motivates them the most and i sympathise with that a lot, cause its not only progpsy/fullon/darkpsy that can be deep and moving and interesting and underground.. there are more styles to fit in such a huge gathering imho. from the instrumental music to minimal techno - lets just hope they find the right ones to invite.

of course this is group of people that will not come in 2010 ;P
and another thing that I saw at ozore this year, many people come only that there is good party with lot of 'fun stuff', they even dont like 'goa' as they call it. I dont see any wrong to come like this but another dancing scene with electro or techno for me is not importent.
many time at boom I have problem where to go: theater, main stage or some exercises in healing area 
and I believe that boom crew will do what is best for us, too
