Surprised by the chill stage line up. Although in a good way

I admit their quite different approach to chill thing: less typical psychill and more classic ambient and experimental stuff. Plus few legends. Can't be bad thing           http://www.chillumafia.com

Hey Guys... I can't understand some critics for the ambient stage... Did you ever listened to MURCOF for instance, that is gonna play there?

If Brian Eno invented Ambient this guy is the most close to Brain Eno you can get today....

Just a thought... ;-)

to chill or not to chill
that is the question

I really do not understand why they still trying to challenge and educate you with new and diverse sounds that are not strictly belonging to the psy scene.

why a major international festival like the boom is still trying to make you listen to something new ?

they should know by now that the psychill scene is the most retrograde, retoric and conservative (to not say fascist) between all the music scenes...and that the audience of the typical chillout is mainly interested in sleeping more than listening.

it would be so much easyer for them (and for you) if instead they stick to the paradigma, the formula.

maybe they do not read the bible (isratrance) and they are not connected with the real heart of the psychill...the heart that beats in the chest of babag for example.

(come one...book him or give him a book)

I understand your point of view. But it remains still only a point of view ...your point of view. I dont think it qualifies as "the law.. or the bible. or the for ever trend" To me psytrance and electronic music in general is about evolution. It is electronic it is electrical and it travels fast. Our own supercomputer is connected to the earths heartbeat and it is continually evolving forward. To stagnate is to die. boom has always educated me in one form or the other since 1997. Im sure iil discover new sounds there this year too,
I hope i made some sense

"the audience of the typical chillout is mainly interested in sleeping more than listening."

So because of that they should only book psychill acts?????

"psychill scene is the most retrograde"

Realy I'm lost and can't understand your point of view......

"i do not understand the chillstage concept anymore - if there is any?"

"This years music selection continues to be a mirror of a diversity of styles within the range of ambient music, giving, for the first time, a particular attention to segments with little expressions on our usual program. Names such as Murcof and Antonio Testa, personify our commitment in presenting new landscapes and sonic aesthetics that are not related with the conventional ambient-psytrance but are some of the deepest and most ethereal music being made today."

Ambient Paradise lineup looks pretty well structured. Can definitely get a gist of a classic chillout vibe ... ethno, dub, amb.... really unreally looking forward to Antonio Testa A bit of jazz-electronics would be a sweet cherry though... anything at the stages with that kind of vibe?
