Hey!  cool! 
Eduardo Miranda was my teacher last year 
I´m not sure it would be the best book to buy for developing your music making skills.....probably way too tecnical stuff like programing sounds in computer programing language, i´m pretty sure his book is more about how to design sinths and stuff than how to actually use them...might be wrong though... |

The Fast Guide to Propellerheads Reason is a good buy if you ask me. Clear, fun to read and it has tips so you can start making music fast.
