Hi does anyone know of a book where you can read about songstructure for psy trance ?
I find this topic very difficult, how many bars before breaks / chorus and stuff.
How to make it sound monoton, still interessting. If someone could recommend a book or help me i would be forever thankful.

Best regards Conny

i think im going to order this..

and maybe you can find other things that relates to music and structure and ideas around that...

check some more your self:

also maybe try the some classic structure just to get a feel...

hope it helps..

cant help you so much with psytrance structure,
it can be so diverse.. but if its supposed to be danced to it should have a nice dance flow..
find inspiration in other music, not only psytrance, for example listen to some belly dance music, and some african music some cuban salsa amongst other styles there is lots of good stuff! listen what they give their dancers... i found very long preformance´s in african and arabian music, also much dancable,
i think if you dance to your tracks and get a feel for them it gets nice.. at least you should nood your head

"how to make it sound monoton, still interesting."

something that is monotone, like a kick and a baseline which plays same note all the time?

you want to make minimal psy?
edit: check this one out aswell, might give ideas, i havent read it yet..

Expression vs. Communication -- The most fundamental concept in all of songwriting. Learn why songs succeed or fail in hitting their target.. seems like a good text.

also the first map..
