"On Sunday, its inventor, Robert Moog, died of a brain tumor at his home in Asheville, N.C., at age 71. But the impact of the humble engineer and self-described "toolmaker" who became a pioneer of electronic music will be celebrated for years to come."
now that's what you get when you fiddle too much with electronic gadgets: brain tumor
rest in piece and thanks for the vision!

I never owned a MOOG,
I never played on a MOOG,
and I dont even own one of them MOOG T-shirts u see people wearing.....
.. but without the vision of this brilliant man.... our musical world would be a very different place!!
Thanx BOB MOOG.....U are to Synthesizers - what Fender is to Guitars, Harley Davidson is to Motorbikes and what James Brown is to Soul Music...... 'The GodFather' !!

I "saw" him for the first time only a few days ago in the moog-documentary (http://www.zu33.com/moog/) . For me he is still a very inspiring and spiritual person. www.myspace.com/mentris |
