Still waiting to receive my copy in the mail. In the meantime I'm enjoying the audiofiles. I give this album my warmest recommendations. There are some real gems on it.
Info from Bleep.com:
Boards Of Canada return with their highly anticipated new album on Warp. Falling somewhere between the enigmatic sprawl of 'Music Has The Right To Children' and the otherworldly 'Geogaddi', "Sick Times" layers their trademark Yamaha CS-70s over an intricate beat, while the swirling hi-hats of "Collapse" are made dark and eerie. First single "Reach For The Dead" is transcendent, a song of rich and stirring emotion. 'Tomorrow's Harvest' is an accomplished album, worth every minute of its seven year wait.
All CD and Vinyl purchases come with instant 16-bit WAV/FLAC/MP3 download.

words People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.

Always pleasure to listen something from BOC.
I found the new album more darker from the older releases.
I will have the time to enjoy it in my trip tomorrow with my car for a bussines travel.
I dont have any doubt that in this album some tracks are diamonds.

I really like this album! There are flashes of real brilliance sprinkled in throughout all of these tracks, and almost every track has something that makes me go "Wow!". And I really like the retro-future sound aesthetic, that definitely transports you to a time and place.
However, a lot of these tracks seem kinda unfinished or undeveloped, they leave you wanting for more. But I read an interview with them where they said that is exactly the point. But still, I would have liked some more development sometimes.

I haven't heard it yet, so have no comment of my own at this point.
The original review is great, it reflects many of my views on this album.
And even though i liked it in the beginning as i wrote above, it has really grown on me even more. I would now say its a masterpiece, some tracks are just otherwordly good, I cant stop listening to this record.

heard it once through fleetingly, first impression, darker the their previous work, also much more reflective than constructive. my respect goes to them for doing that, it's almost like they're reaching out to all the people who have been influenced by them and saying... come, you can be part of this too.
could definitely make out it's a great album overall, was really dreading after all the pumped up hype and was pleasantly surprised. excited to be going back to it and listening to it again.
