Great Review from Nova in the Summer issue of Revolve:
There are plenty of contenders for world's best dub-influenced downtempo / electronica producer, but maybe in my honest opinion Bluetech might just run away with the crown.
Here is the brand-new "Love Songs to the Source" then, released on Canada's finest Interchill, indeed a well-rounded lovely collabrorative album.
There is a rich roots and dub, live organic mood in Evan's latest compositions that still features that Bluetech trademark polished warm production, microfunk grooves, lush melodies and imaginative arrangements.
He also partly seems to be equally touched somehow by a sort of pop songwriting Americana-style mixed with reggae and electronica especially in some of the vocal cuts.
In this case it works a treat as he has managed to combine all those elements beautifully.
Quite simply this is elegant dubbed-out downtempo music of the most haunting variety that will appeal to fans of the first hour and adventurous and mature new afficionados.
