Aleph Zero is proud to present its second release, a special double CD edition from a new uprising force in the chillout section, Bluetech. This release is a magical journey that cannot go wrong with a total of nearly two hours of playing time.
Evan Bluetech was classically trained on the piano but found the gateway for releasing his musical creation and talent in the electronic music scene. Evan developed his own special blend of musical style. A style which is purely improvisational and lyrical, inspired by the possibilities of telling musical stories through tone and rhythmic transaction, while constantly drawing inspiration from the different evolving electronic musical genres. He has released tracks on a number of labels all around the world.
Elementary Particles & Prima Materia offer the latest chilling and spine shuddering tunes coming from the mystical green forest atmosphere of Oregon in the Northwest of the US where Evan resides. It is a package of sounds filled with emotion, moods, psychedelia and mystery. While encompassing musical touches from different parts of the globe, it presents a total blend, crossing genres and borders. The outcome is a musical journey reaching far away realms that is soothing to your brain and to your heart.

A fellow northwesterner making absolutely dripping chill-out tunes, how can I resist? Very eagerly awaiting this release in only 5 days!
With Bluetech, Androcell, and PhuturePrimitive all producing amazing ambient it seems like the western US is becoming a great hotspot for this type of music. I couldn't be happier! |

Received this yesterday and just wanted to share my initial thoughts.
Evan is damn fine "musician" and not every artist in this scene can hold that title. His playing has expressed even more emotion than his first release, Prima Materia. Although the Bluetech sound, upon first hearing Prima Materia on Waveform, felt digitally cold to me compared to most chillout I'm into, I can tell that Evan has discovered how to breathe more warmth into his electronic sound. I'm discovering even more depth and emotion in his melodies, and the dub factor is better than ever. Prima Materia, Elementary Particles..... these titles keeps telling me that Evan Bluetech is still holding back just like a bud of a flower...something purely magical is happening but you wait for that full bloom of majestic color which is ultimately going to unfold. As much as I'm enamored with Evan's releases, I hope the next release is the new blossom of Bluetech. He's hiding something....something wonderful!
Please support Aleph Zero in this effort, as they are the first to bring this new offering from Bluetech to the world. If you already own Prima Materia, consider giving it as a gift to someone you know that hasn't been blessed with Evan's first statement. The artwork is beautiful and calming in itself.
Peace, Love, and Dub!

i totally agree with you quasga ... this release was much warmer than prima materia. i found it more emotional and personal. i've been enjoying this cd a lot. bluetechs dub is powerful and psychedelic, its pure magic! if you dont own his first release i'd recommend you get 'em both.
thanks evan for sending me a copy, i really appreciate it mate... |

Glad to see the recognition Evan (Bluetech) is getting, truly deserved. Prima M. was a highlight of 2003, and it was a reat to check him play @ Boom...what a cool festival and pro-chillout area.
