Introduction:
Blue Tunes Records needs no great Introduction…founded by Montagu & Golkonda ( also forming the well known Acts Symphonix and True Lies) since 2006 they have been releasing quality music.
Berlin based Dj Koszki started at Blue Tunes in 2007 after playing at most of the big Festivals in Germany..and established himself successfully in the Scene with gigs at Fusion Festival, Full Moon, Indian Spirit, Psychedelic Circus, Tshitraka, Butan Club and so on.
Known for sometimes very technoish Sets in his Debut Compilation DJ Koszki fullfills all expectations.
Driving progressive house tracks with strong techno accents provide a Compilation that fits into a driving nighttime Set as much as into some daytime dancing experience.
So let’s get started:

1. RPO & David Weed - Your Destiny [127 BPM]
Mexico based Rick Pier o´Neil is well known to who has been listening to Progressive House the last years. Together with David Weed he pulls off a very driving dancefloor filler building up long melodic breaks that turn into pumping basslines. The Track has a somehow hypnotic effect to its full extension. One of my favourites.

2. Duca - Sauna [128 BPM]
Duca from Serbia has been crafting Progressive Bombs for some time now…he always reminded me a lot of the “D-Nox & Beckers” style. But he doesn´t disappoint me on this one. Kicking in the bassline right away, “Sauna” continuously grows providing a dark nighttime mood with some vocals samples in the brakes... a Killer Track.

3. Perfect Stranger - The Medicine(Khainz Rmx) [130 BPM]
Perfect Stranger aka Yuli Fershtat has released top tracks in 2008 and also Khainz from Switzerland is one of the international top acts in the scene nowadays. “The Medicine” was previously released on one of DJ Zombis Compilations. The Remix feels trancy and groovy all the way with Khainz´s typical strong pumping bass lines…its maybe one of the Prog.trance tracks on this Comp. It has an open air feeling and some funny twists in the melody. A very clean and solid Production from Khainz.

4. Peter Gun - Perfect [129 BPM]
Peter Juergens aka Peter Gun needs no Introduction. The track Perfect, also featured in the upcoming Album in a different Version, has a strong progressive bassdrive and is tailored for the dancefloor. The lead melody swings along with a very strong presence , the breaks build up nicely and the bassline hits in strong. The last half of the track turns a little more hypnotic and the ending is makes mixing the next tune in, very accessible. The lead is a little cheesy but the strong bassline compensates for that. Great Prog.House Production.

5. Astronivo - Blast Out [126 BPM]
The Duo Astronivo formed by Guy Astrogano and Niv Konforty are both dedicated Musicians for a long time already. They´ve been successfully releasing on well known Labels like Sprout, Iboga, Flow and Tribal Vision. The Track “Blast Out” is a slow psychedelic Attempt…driving and progressive but with some very psychedelic Elements. A little monotonous at times but a very powerful Track.

6. SQL - Prognosis [128 BPM]
SQL from Holland/Amsterdam delivers a very strong Production with just 21 Years of Age. Appearently 2009 is going to be a good year for him. There quite some Releases on popular Labels scheduled for him. He comes along with a great Progressive House track. He builds up a 1 Minute break that cuts the track in 2 halfs and manages to get you going strong…very Proggy and trippy in a way. Remember this one.

7. Stu Altik - Bouncing Therapie [123 BPM]
Stu Altik (founded in 2007 by Pierre Delort aka Principles of Flight) from France presents “Bouncing Therapy”. The Name says it…this makes you move and really have a good time. Definitely a dancefloor Hit. A very proggy bassline, very trippy loops and intelligent brakes surprise you while listening. The Tracks ends a little abruptly but this is seriously cool Stuff!

8. Astronivo & Dj Zombi - Cooling Down (King Roc Rmx) [128 BPM]
Astronivo and DJ Zombi are both from Israel. The original “Cooling Down” is a very Proggy Track with a strong vocal presence. King Roc from the UK, recently released his debut Album and is known for topnotch Remixes and Productions playing in Europe´s biggest Clubs. The “Cooling Down” Remix is a real groover. The track has a very minimal feel and develops into a mellow and chilled mood being still really danceable.

9. Rodrigo Carreira - Deepness [125 BPM]
Rodrigo Carreira from Brazil might have crossed you Ears a couple of times already. He´s been Djing since 97 and has played gigs besides some of the most Popular electronic music Artists. He delivers a groovy tech-house production that floats a along with ease. I really like this track! A really good daytime festival Song, some vocal effects and nice housy elements really get you going.

10. George Delkos & Benjamin Halfman - Follow Me [125 BPM]
To finish of the Comp George Delkos ( from Greece ) and Benjamin Halfman ( from Germany) present a really melodic and nice Progressive House Track. Delkos has been getting Support from renowned Artists like John Digweed, Sasha or Hernan Cattaneo, and releasing on Labels like Dyami and Audio Therapie.
Some light melodies and a nice continuous Bassline carry you away…the track progresses deeply. One of my favourites and excellent to finish this great Comp.

Bottomline:
A very solid Compilation worth its Money. A wide selection of some great dancefloor tracks, Dj Koszki marks his own style on Blue tunes Records. Starting strong and growing in Speed and Groove in the middle, the Comp finishes off with some really nice groovy Tracks. The Stu Altik track surprised me in some Parts, I enjoyed the Mood of The Carreira, Delkos, and King Roc tracks…easy now. And in the Beginning of the Comp you get some serious dancefloor fillers. As far as I know this Comp will be released as a Mix as well..in my opinion that will work perfectly.
Looking forward to more quality Music and Sets from Koszki.
But: The Cover Design came out a little poor…it´s very clean, a bit too clean in a way. Maybe the only real negative thing I can say about this Compilation.
