Yamaha CS1x rules! :-)
I know that Yuli doesn't use it as a sound source, but it is my only sound source.
Some people dislike it, but I can't figure out why. Maybe because it has a toyish stigma on it?
Just need to know how to use it! :-) |

At the mo I use:
CS1x for controlling
Waldorf XT Microwave for crunchy sounds
Novation Supernova for clean digital sound most of the time
EMU ESI 4000 sampler for different percussive parts & Hats
Quite a lot of drumloops ( reassembled through recycle ) and made up loops ( from different noises )
Halion for soundz from the PC
Some more soft synths from time to time
Mackie 24/8 mixing board
Cubase 5.1
Soundforge
Recycle
Couple of amplified Event monitors
That is basically it..
PS that is what I use at home
When making a show it's mostly the PC with Supernova controlled through the CS1x.. But now we are in a middle of a new project where more parts will b used and also combining a live percussionist with the show... It will b quite cool I think and much stronger than what we did in Karkur in January cuz the parts will b learned and the show/ sound will b more accurate..
Check for the gigs next month we have one in Comfort 13 I believe.. It's a shu shu one so no more d-tails about it ;-) c ya there

and the cs ...
why is it so cool ?
i have the CSx2 and i can haven't really explored it ...
is it that good ?
i mostly use it 4 arrpigator ...
but i guess i need 2 sit on it some more ...
Novation Supernova ? ? ?
