Yuli, you are the cherry in the cream of Israeli trance and worldwide trance.
With so many bad releases lately, your new album was a true bliss.
You made me dance for hundreds of hours, listening to all your albums (especially the latter two), your DJ sets and live acts.

One more thing...Sorry pestering you off...but look at the many differente flags bellow and above...BLT's work is surely recognized and acclaimed in so many different places by so many people !

(Not to mention those who can't write in english and those who doesn't know about this forum).

Yes, your job is quite recognized and appreciated. Maybe you're not being professionally rewarded as you'd wish & expect, AT THIS POINT, and at this point only.

But if you'll quit now you'll never know. I apologize if I sound disrespectfull, I'm not an artist, I can only guess about the hardships of dedicating oneself day after day wholleheartdelly, putting your skill & soul into your music, having it finished, loving it, and then none bothers to call upon you to perform it live outside your country.

Truly disappointing. Specially if you do your music passionately and seriously as it's BLT's case.

Now, in my opinion, the worst part is over ! You've learned to make outstanding music, got your deserved place within the trance artistic world, BLT is quite respected ! So many people know & enjoy your music.

Really, don't give up !

After reading all these replies in this thread i tottally understand what Yulli is trying to say here. Many good comments and nice reviews but no international bookings.Artists cant live through nice reviews, they are welcome for sure but bookings are a real necessity if you want to survive as an artist.Plus it boosts your ego and makes you try for even better things in your music production.

After 4 personal albums and countless releases on some of the best labels of the scene such us Hommega Productions and Iboga Records it is quite strange how come BLT project isnt booked worldwide. The main reasons for me are the following with all the respect to my dear friend Yulli whom by the way i have booked in the past for an event in my country Greece,so i think that lack of good promotion and the music style that he is dealing with, that is different from the things overflowing the psy trance market today and less full on oriantated for sure, are the two main reasons for the lack of international bookings for BLT.

In our private conversations i always tell to Yulli that he should give a shot in more danceable and even full on music but he always tells me that this just aint his style and that he aint going to do anything that he does not like just to satisfy other people, respect to him for supporting his ideas indeed though the results show that sometimes you just have to go with the flow in order to survive in this scene.

Its not a secret that full on music is the major player in the psy trance scene today,Son Kite are good,BLT is very nice,Ticon are wonderful but they will never achieve the 'high status' and demand that artists like Astrix,GMS and Skazi enjoy at the moment.

People in our days are not ready to face more intelligent and less danceable music, who knows in the future maybe things will change and i am preety sure they will actually cause people slowly but steadily get bored and tired of the full on psychedelic madness and will seek for more intelligent and softer music and its then that artists like Yulli will be fully appreciated by everyone.

Respect to you my friend both as an artist and as a person.Whatever road you may follow i will personally always be with you and joke with you about sheeps, satziki, souvlakia, dogs and everything else in this crazy world.

I wish you all the best of luck in the future and hope that sooner or later you will be back in business cause the trance scene really needs people and artists like you even though it doesnt respect and appreciates you as much as it should.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I take it as a personal failure of not being able to deliver music good enough to be booked for live gigs outside of Israel, but never it was my aim to make commercial trance anthems, and I guess that there is the place where the 'problem' begins

I think you should take it more as a personal failure of promoters worldwide who are not willing to take risks on artists with different sounds, but instead recycle the same acts and sounds over and over. Your music is not good enough? Hmmm more likely it is too good for the majority to appreciate. God on you for not compromising your sound.hell, its cause of this you will be remembered. If you changed your sound to fit the "new wave" and try and get more gigs you would be just another name in the pack. But why not now take the full step and write exactly the style you want to make, no boundaries because of release pressure or need for gigs...this should be fun for you! Anyway i just felt compelled to say something cause you are damn true and nice guy

the first thing that came on my mind after I listened to the BLT and Danni Makov album was...we gotta book these guys for our festival!...but it was too late for this year since we already have a pretty big lineup...but of course that's my oppinion and I'm not really in charge of that stuff

I love the entire album and I think it's one of the best ones of the year so far but I understand why this is happening...Israel is full of full on artists that make hits and fill the clubs and festivals but you're making very different and groundbreaking stuff...and I think that most people who organise festivals in Europe will rather bring some full on artists from Israel than anything else...I think it's just a habit for organisers...every time Israel is mentioned the word full on is the only thing that comes to question..and since the travel costs from Israel to Europe are a lot more expensive then those inside Europe I guess everyone will rather spend money on a name that will fill the biggest dancefloor over here...

Of course this is just my view of the entire situation...I could be really far off from the truth and I would like to hear more thoughts about it...but I wouldn't like to see an original and innovative artist to back down because of the lack of booking...what I suggest to you is that you just try and work more on promoting your live act here in Europe...maybe lower your price or any other requirements..

In any case I wish you all the best           DJ Dovla | Interchill Records, Flow Records

That's really sad... I pesteredon oztrance.com for some of our promoters to bring BLT out here, and so did other punters, with no reply. Insted we are getting GMS, 1200 Mics etc. again and again. I am just starting out to dj here, and am finding ithard as I love the more progressive and deep sounds, but am coming to realise if I'm going to get a foot inside the door, I'm going to have to play the more full on stuff, so I inda get whereYuli is coming from... I think maybe if you wanna be succesful in this scene with a more progressive sound you need to aim toward Europe, I think you could even make into some of the bigger scenes as this is not strictly trance style anyways... it'ssad when such a great name says this, it really does point to an end of a scene, when experimentation in sound was what started it, and now this is being cut out for the full on style... with the endf Yuli it is really the end of Goa Trance!

Hi Yuli

I can't believe what u are saying man, first of all I love your music (and a lot of people WORLDWIDE do), but right now the scene in some places it's just a fashion and everybody loves the "new full-on",but think about it,the scene it's going changing, the people that book you are the party organisers that knows about music and knows that you can make the people dance without be the stereotype music.

Just wait a little           :::Get Twisted:::

Look mate, all of us Prog artists are having a difficult time for the moment. But that doesn't mean you have to quit music totally. We as Tegma do also not have enough bookings to live as artists, Jason for example is working 3-4 days per week, and me I'm studying. Maybe u can try to get a part time job and produce in ur free time. Im sure the situation will change soon and that people will start to apreciate Progressive Psytrance again, so dont give up yet mate
Best Wishes and be strong
