Inspired by the Suria thread...
Did anyone else ever hear this CD? GREAT stuff, for me, and I still dig it all this time later. But I never heard of this project ever since I got this CD years ago. Anyone know if they ever released anything else?
The last track on the CD... "Trumpetfishology"... is my personal favorite

I got this as well when it came out. I bought it and the Prometheus debut album. They both rocked but Blowfish never got the hype I felt it deserved. I guess it has something to do with the overall mastering quality which feels a little bit rough, and the fact that it was released on a small record label from Finland and not TIP or Twisted.
A lot of the samples are from GRASS, the movie where Woody Harroldsen is the speaker voice. Funny samples inside this album, and the GRASS documentary is to be found for free view on ex. video.google + the creepy intro thing is from Donnie Darko's rabbit
Puffed Up, pihoong!! (the laser gun sound from He-Man flying wessel or something)

Great album indeed. Too bad it got lost a bit in the shuffle.

one of my all time favorite albums, played some of those tracks to death and yeah I agree it's a shame it barely got noticed...amazing stuff!

Well, I brought it, listened to it.
And tbh imho it was a bit crap. Not my cup of tea, though I will give it another listen to in a few weeks to see what a different set and setting does. |
