Blofeld Issues

A buddy just got his yesterday.
Upon pluging it in via USB his dell leptop does not recognise it all on his machine. Their are no audio or midi devices/ drivers getting registered in Cubase or on his devices in the control panel.
/he also has a ti running through USB as well and he cant test the blofeld as midi as he doesnt have any cables yet.
Anyone using a blofeld who can suggest and troubleshooting tips?

I wrote it in another thread about Blofeld, but will write once again, that I've read somewhere that Waldorf has a very good and friendly support team.
