Hey Everybody.

my new tune here.

this time i mixed the bass at37hz bottom as the loudest band on the mix. in fact its 1- 2db louder than the kick.

it sounds like a bing bang in my studio. so the thing i like to recognize here . is how sound this on your speakers in your studio. i mix on yamaha ms 80 without subwoofer. and for me its filling a fucking nice bandwith down to 35 hz (probably? )

I m not into with this Lowcut rules. they annoy me....

the bass band is here to play with it.there is always a blast-wave wich also can be perfectly tweaked and not only can be punched in the mastering process.

well then theres another question. is it really usefull to make the blast waves or is it maybe just resonance of my room?

if yeah. is its annoying in your studio? do you even hear it ? or has it still an equal mix? or is the bass at the 37 hz just to resonant? for my studio and ones of a friend wich has the same peakers it sounds really good in both rooms aswell in my room the earth is more quaking than in his but thats just a fucking small difference.

sorry for texting so much.

any feedback would be usefull.

the track is not mastered just loudness with a stupid waves oneknob louder

namaste.

i can only say for headphones with usb dac for now. but there its sounds totally is slamming. well defined for the low hertz range and really moving some air. like the beginning part a lot musically as well.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

sidenote: listen on good headphones if you are unsure about modes of your studio.
headphones -> no room effects.

and in order to find out were you have modes, play a pure sine wave at constant level and sweep it through the frequency range to find out where you have resonating modes going on.           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

thanks for feedback. i just cheked that. and it seems that there is definitelly a resonance or a standing wave on 41 hz in my sweet spot. the frequency has mor ounch than the others around. but wouldn´t mean that on anotther system exactly that punch could be missing....

i just made 4 versions. if somone has the time to tell me wich one sounds the most equal for his opinion. would be very nice

the nice thing about this blast waves is. it can be removed with a simple low cut on the right place.

heres a sample without low cut

one with lowcut 24 db on 35hz

on 40hz

on 45hz

i cannot figure it out on my own songs (probably the MASTERING myth). so some feedback would be very appreciated.

i like the one without low cut the best.
try to cut more low, i.e. 20 hz or 25. just to get the really low end stuff away. dunno what u use for the lowcut and how transparent or precise the cut is.

try a freq analyser and watch what happens to the bass if you perform the low cut to see from which frequency it really starts to affect the mix.. sometimes the number you choose on the filter cutoff does not mean the filter actually cuts only from there you know.. i often find my music sounds better without lowcut or very very low like 20 hz only. cutting higher will end in a not so natural balanced sound to me. let the rest be done by the mastering engineer you trust ;-)

very good production really btw. fat and tight.. reminds me to do more mixing practise..           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

thanks for your feedback dude

i always work with a analyser (DIGICHECK from RME)

same thing here i dont like the low cuts. and im now trying to master the stuff by myself.

but thanks for the comment so we both like the same sample the best, wich is a better recommendation than before

the only high cut i use that makes clean without altering the sound is from the ssl channel strip on the UAD platform.
i use that on the lowest possible setting somewhere around 20 hz and it just gives you more headroom without altering the sound audibly. maybe check the waves ssl clones or ssl duende or whatnot or just any other alternative to find your sweet spot for it!           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel
