Thats more the pure "Goth" feeling. Black Metal is kinda brutal and beautiful if your into that music. Holeg and the Spies must be the closest to "Black Metal" in my collection. But still, not close even.

If you want my honest opinion there are already too many artists doing the same with this.. I mean, it's already not anything any more that you do to mark your difference, show some originality..
The concept is already out of breath..
That's why I'd like to hear an Helmet ::: Biscuits for Smut (Midi Miliz* Remix)
Now that would be something !

closest thing to black metal is xenomorph, by the vibes and aura that his music creates.

yeah, i'm not very familiar with black metal, but i think i'd have to agree with Crovo, it has a different feeling and sound than what has been done with the other psytrance hybrid sounds.

I hope never to hear such ...
The chaos created by blackmetal cannot be integrated with the rhythmic & monotonous trance style

Death metal i think is more closer to dark psy.
Quo vadis for example have very fast and rhytmic double drum beat that really same to dark psy sometimes.

Old Azax Syndrom tracks, which happen to be my favorite in this particular genre, have some wicked heavy guitar samples, South of Hell for example. A tribute to Slayer, you might say.
