I think one of the best around is Izotope Trash for this. It's a top distortion plug-in and has a bitcrushing preset. 'Bit wrench' or something.

There is 'decimate' also, it's freeware.

Cyanide is meant to be ok, not tried it though.

I am using a lot the Destructo pluging that
comes with the Audio Damage plugins package.

It is a distortion plugin with clipper, sine warp,
overdrive, bit reducing and lofi function.

And it sounds great, it is much nicer than the
bitcrusher that comes with cubase. At least for me            Signature

I've tried audio damage destructor, but I didn't really like it. Any others? I am looking something that sounds more like the z3ta+ one.

Also PSP have released 'Nitro', which is basically a filter plugin, but you can also distort stuff with it. And if i'm not mistaken it has a bitchchrusher too.

When I use a bitcrusher, I just take the one from Cubase... it's fine by me... but personally I'm getting a bit tired of the same old bitcrushed sawtooth-waveform sounds that are all over the place.           To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don't deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them. To hell with them! - Louis-Ferdinand Céline
