With our in-house label at Addictech we strive to push the boundaries of the foundations of what the entire ethos is at the lab, and we have found it with the new Bird of Prey release! The Dreamcatcher EP is truly boundary crossing, genre smashing dancefloor bass music!
Bird of Prey is San Francisco bay area native Torin Goodnight. Creating electronic music for close to a decade, he has developed a unique and very distinct sound that hybridizes various genres, fusing the swirling sensibilities of psychedelic sound with hard hitting dubstep and breakbeat elements.
Inside the Dreamcatcher EP Torin combines incredibly clean production, glitchy dynamic layers, thick juicy bass, impeccable edits and intelligently evolving composition; all within a vessel that holds a full dynamic range vibrationally deeper than most soundsystem experiences. Easily sitting inside Dubstep, Breakbeat, and Psydub moments - Bird of Prey transmits a confidently diverse palette of sonic treats that in one moment defies genre, while somehow simultaneously defines his individual sound.
We are proud to present the first in what we hope to be many releases from this exciting new addition to the Addictech Records family, the Dreamcatcher EP is just a taste of things to come!
