Ever since their live act on the progressive stage of the Samothraki Dance Festival in 2002, I've been awaiting this release. I thought to myself that Digital Structures wouldn't have the guts to release something truely innovative and psychedelic like I knew these guys could make. Hoping for the best, and not really knowing what to expect, I gave this album a listen. And another. And again once more.

1. Coder Avenza - 2:09
2. Pianogra - 7:15
3. Trele Morele - 8:14
4. Generau Gruw - 7:33
5. Pusi Intruder - 8:00
6. Robot Meloman - 7:45
7. Papa Gejos - 6:01
8. Autotent - 7:49
9. Body Louszyn - 8:38
10. Zajzajer - 7:52
11. Not Siur Jey - 7:53

Starting out with some atmosphereic sounds, Coder Avenza is one of the best album intros I've heard, setting a tone for the album in a very deep way, building up to Pianogra - the first full track of the album.

Remeniscient of Kino Oko's Twoje Imie Monamour (released on a single in 2001), minimalistic and groovy, with clever and unconventional percussion and a smooth buildup. Spacey in a wonderful way. A very unique selection of sounds - including a very psychedelic usage of a Piano.

Trele Morele goes to a more funky attitude with syllables used to set the groove alongside a mechanical bassline and a more standardized set of percussion. Built in a very linear fassion, dark and droning, until a break which gives a truely uplifting touch to the track - but not in the standard way we've been getting from so many acts lately.

High BPM and a dark full-on bassline with little of an opening. Generau Gruw creeps up slowly with a very solid structure, with unconventional percussion and funky melodic work. The track rebuilds itself with in a more agressive fassion after a while, still with the off-beat atmosphere set in the start.

I thought I got the point of this album after the first two tracks, but Generau Gruw took it into a different direction - but Pusi Intruder starts off with a dirty funky electric guitar in a smooth 6/8 beat and a rockish atmosphere. 'Damn, this is cool' - that's what I thought about the vocals here. Very stompy groove all the way, slick structure, and a well made ending.

Robot Meloman goes back to the droning bassline, but that's about the only similarity you'll most psytrance released nowadays. Brass instruments? This track does it wonderfully, with a well developed groove going on the entire track.

My personal favorite of this album, Papa Gejos, has a totally fresh set of percussion, a surprisingly happy feeling, a lot of humor (something that you don't hear in most psytrance music nowadays). A lot of energy. This track is just FUN. Big time.

A well built groove and a deep subby bassline, Autotent doesn't have much in the form of standard dancefloor energy, but more than makes up for it with a smooth and engrossing groove and creative atmosphere.

Raising the energy level again, Body Louszyn's bassline (and improvisations on it) sets the tone... Deep and controlled, but with wonderful usage of pads to give that extra emotion here, groovy in an unorthodox way, built ignoring a lot of the conceptions about progressive music we hear so often. And a beautiful ending sequence.

Stomping right from the start, Zajzajer shows that unconventional usage of sounds and vocals can offer a hard digging. The groove becomes less and less day to day as the track goes on, and a very intelligent break, and then the energy level starts going up and up, not stopping until the track ends.

Starting of with jazzy percussion, Not Siur Jet is the best piece of jungle I've heard from any psytrance artist. A lot of creativity went into this one, in the percussion, bassline and the more melodic touches here, with these guys' funky touches and unconventional ideas making this a wonderful piece of music.

To sum it up - this is a great album, diverse, unconventional, psychedelic and funky all the way. While from a sheer sound production point of view this may not me one of the most proffesional albums of this year, this album more than makes up for it with it's creativity and wonderful music.

Personal favorites: 2, 3, 5, 7(!), 10, 11(!)           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

...lol...this is psy...one of my favs albums this year...this album is a gem...how they call theyr work ? -sausage-trance ?...hehe...i call it wired, sick and twisted noise...
it s somehow technoish, frickled, some acid-squelches less melodic but sooooo twirling...
--> if anyone is looking for killer-sound, don t get this one, but if u re looking for noise which leaves a big SMILE on your face, try this...it s not comparable to other noise around...maybe tromesa has some similar noises...

4,6,7,9,10 are my favs, but the hole album is §¬*"&ç/%-great !!!

now i go to the kitchen and cook some sausages with sauerkraut while i listen again...

...bOOm...

This album is one of the rare gems that makes me think 'psytrance is a great thing'. It's too weird for you? Go listen to techno, house, clubtrance... you definately don't have anything to do with psychedelic music. People who can't enjoy this album will be given ten minutes to run to the closest techno/house/disco/metal club. And then will be hunted down and killed.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
