Hi
My songs lack of reverb i believe ,
it´s just not seems to be enough to have a reverb as a send effect, so my question is if there´s a way to use the output from reverb send and use it in a creative way ? .

I remember i saw a movie with a sound engineer who had 2 channels in the mixer with the same instruments. One of the channels
had no reverb but the other one had. Then he mixed the volume of the both channels after he´s need.It did really seem to be a good way to use the mixer, but how is this done for example in fruity loops ?

Best regards Conny

hello!

the purpose of rutting an effects, in a way
were the channel you want to send to the
effect (for ex' reverb),is send pre fader,
through an aux and from there is routed to
a different channel (some mixers and sequencers have special fx ruterns channels).

in this way you have also the the raw sound,
(the dry soud),
and also a channel with the reverb on it (the
wet sound), this way you can also balance the amount of reverb you want to apply,
and also you can eq, compress, and pan
your effect wich effects the sound tremendously (...or how ever you spell it..).

orik, no need to make it prefader even.

Every effect which you send a channel to, (send effect), is located on another channel - resulting in 2 channels like orik said. (unlike insert effects)

To be creative with your reverb, try putting an EQ after it to pump ur desried sound from it.

and if you like dist sounds (like me ) so try put some distration on the delays (!) , and i see you are on fruity so the delay 2 is very good one and even try to pan it with ping or invert.

and if talking on mixer routing , what are the advantegs of using it? (is it to do with side-chaining?)           <One learns people through the heart, not the eyes or the intellect>
