Microwave XT: wavetable synthesis capable to create a lot amazing sounds, mainly atmospherics/textures/FXs sounds. Poweful bass. It has a lot of weird filters capable to process external sounds.
Q: (Hi-end) analog virtual synthesis. It's completely different from the XT. Micro-Q is cheap and a great investment (it has almost all the Q's features, except sequencer and filter morphing etc.). Incredible synth. The better arpeggiator found in the market.

Better solution: Micro-Q ($350-450 on Ebay) + XT ($600-800 on Ebay)
Q rack/kbd: $1000-1800 on Ebay.
