A fairy tale told me the best year in psy music will be 2012!

All artists would be thinking that they are going to die & would give their best productions before they die & we get the creme de la creme of psytrance in 2012!

All DJs would play the best sets of their lifetime, thinking that they will be dying!

So 2012 will be the best year for psytrance!

We were born naked & grow up to become wicked.

Yup           Mushrooms make you do crazy stuff. Look at Mario he jumps on animal heads and fights with dragons.

i have been listening to trance music since the late eighties, but for me, i still can't say which were the best days because if the best days are already gone then i have nothing more to look fwd to anymore. As long as i can still find my favourite style of music being produced then i'm quite happy. styles have been changing, evolving and yes today i hear more music being produced and played thats not to my taste but then again thats my own choice. This music has always been evolving and i feel that personally having evolved with the music has helped me to stay on in touch with the whole music vibe in general. changing trends in the music also makes me understand the times we live in and understand myself better in relation.

Though after reading many of the posts here i understand that people refer to the best music is when they just started listening to it or got into the groove of it.

Thus i personally believe that the best is not in the past but somewhere in the future and we are all working towards it together.           Love n Light

There are some kool opinions here.

My fav years have been since 2006 - till date ...even though I started listening to trance in the second half of the nineties. Nowdays I find the fluff and morning scapes really monotone. Morning music sounds the same to me for many years now
Projects like
Furious /Crazy Astronaut
Enichkin
Alien Mental /soniq Scizzor
psykovski /osom

that aim to bring many genres into one tell me that psytrance is still evolving and the future looks bright

with the comming of the digital age in the late 90's, the sound was affected immensly, influencing production styles and expresions in music, i think there has been many periods on time in which certain individual artists have taken or pushed the progress furthur, first stage maybe some where end on 90's with the comming of the pc, and the digital age, adding to the analog technology from the earlier generations, one definately came around 1999-2001 , when the y2k bug was supposed to kill all computers,( the 2012 effect as a bro puts it), one came in 2004-2005, with furthur developments in psyche n technology, and one is just about ready to come, what i noticed about these periods is that, its genreally a group of individuals, who push it furthur, and many individuals sprout at the same time,so time to rise and shine

I feel the late 90's till 2004-5 were awesome parties, great artists (some still are!!), and super musik!! Of course many new artists and DJ's are there now so we got lotsa choice for different styles of psytrance!!I remember the days of late 90's Goa, Karjat, Mumbai, and then Delhi...heard so many artists and Dj's who played in India till 2007, am abroad now but feel the choice of artists who played live at parties in India was mostly a superb choice of for all to enjoy!! I love those old artists and DJ's and mostly stick to listening to them only...not so much into newer stuff!!But always keep my mind open to musik which makes me dance my rocks off!! But I am really happy to see and hear so many new artists and DJ's from India who are blasting it internationally with their awesome sounds!! Big Love
