I see many people have been having the same experience in different period so here is a question to bring the good vibe back, and discuss what needs to come back to the scene.
My best year (as I've been following the trance culture for only 6 years was in 2003)
That time I reconized myself better as a real trancer, I understood the meaning of me been there, and how I changed since the first psyparty I went. In that year I went to great festivals like full moon, and 60 year lsd's party. The music was more involvinng to me, I went from dark hardcore to morning melodic trance, and I have met the best frieds I could have ever think they existed. It was an amzing year for me for sure, the best until now.
I think what should came back to parties, is more sensitivity from everyone, I am not against dark and hardcore but I think some good peeps got so busy that they don't have time anymore to sit back and watch what is really going on.
There've been too much division, and it is very easy to be pissed off with anything.
I also think old freaks should welcome new comers as best as they can. Try to be better people and make our corrent last as longer possible.
Hiowow that was the BEST year to me....

The best year i think was:
1997 and than 1999, 2002 and 2004
2005 is uncertain, because Full On is already "boring", progressive is passed out too and the Neo Full On it's not strong enought yet to create a big "wave". But 2005 is still on the beginning...many things can happen'
Anyway a new "wave" of Neo Full On artists will come..
It seems that every 2 years, we have a different style that rock's !!

hehe...
I'd say 1990-1999 were by far the best years of trance... followed by 2001-2002 for the proggy style and now I"m loooking forward to the news style coming out, I think maybe soon it will be the big wave for techtrance and new style psytrance such as Timecode and similar labels with really big night time music styles... the old stlye is gone from 1990-1999 so think it is wise to start t enjoy new styles and kee the best bits of th epast for special moments |

To me it must have definetely been 1996, the year I was converted into psychedelic trance, one with great releases and a very interesting change of direction(the darker english sound was just getting big in Greece) and a great party year for Athens where I live.
P.S. I agree with the Journey Man Project in saying that the sound and the music has changed and I also think it is about to evolve to the directions mentioned plus groovier psychedelic (e.g. Neurobiotics latest releases).

My best periode in trance must have from Feb till september 2003.
I met my best friends that year in that place, Sofia, Kenneth (Cunt), wicked wonderful parties every single weekend, at this great atmosphered barn kinda "club".
It was at Bastionen in Copehagen, Denmark. But it turned into a commercial party place and it ended up beeing burned down with firebombs in 2003 october.
Still miss it
And i agree with Brujo6, the best years are yet to come!

yeah cunt
i can still remember that party...we met in the ladies toilet because i was looking for sister star and their you and sophia was talked to her and for that time we have been the best "skrald" around
but i would have to say 2002-2003 was the best years for me because of the same place "bastionen"
great parties in a nice urban location with fire and hammegs outside and no huge 1000 people parties but only
but then some jerk took some lightergaz bottles and trowt at the fire and then theres was a BIG explosion and offcaus ethen the public got aware of the place(whic let too the wrong people began so party outthere) and it ended by some 16 year old kid took too much pills and talked openly about it and the place in the press and then it got burned down
but good memories last forever
but 1995-2001 was the best music years for me:=)

My best year in terms of music was 200(Atmos-Headcleaner,Noma-Navigator.For example)
And 2003 was nice as well(Ott-Blumenkraft,Younger brother-flock of bleeps,etc.)
And in terms of realizing the importance of me being there,1995 my first party.
My fake plants died, because I did not pretend to water them. |
