best way to get guitar sounds?

Alright the best way would be to have a guitar, but I don't have one and I don't play the guitar. So can anyone help me out here? VST? doesn't matter which one, I would mind paying some money and getting a decent VST that would do the job. Or would it be better to get a friend to did since their may not be good guitar VSTs in the market. Well I don't know but please help me out with this one cuz I'm pretty stuck at the moment.

Yes. That´s what I would do.
There are many good guitar samples and you can do with them whatever you want. If you wanna do a rithmic riff you´ll have no problem. It´s easy and fast. Have you heard "Mescaline" from 1200 Micrograms? I´m sure its guitar sounds are samples. |

Well, I don't have a guitar (ok I do, but nvm  ) and dunno how to play it.
My friend does. I recorded him.

Slayer is a great option, it doesn't sound as good as real one but TB303 also did not sound as good as real bass guitar emulator but it was a huge sucess never the less.
So check it, and don't forget to keep an open head

The 303 was a hit, but it didn't sound like a guitar.

slayer, and also any vstithat produce that kinda acoustic guitar can be applied with dist and stuff and sound real cool.

goto kvr-vst.com - search for halion sound banks
you'll find there good guitar samples
anyway search for sound banks or guitar samples as waves - it the best way i think
