Hello , i
think make a copy in wav to external hard disk... and leave the original CD in your home
and also if you are dj, you can select the songs you like more and copy to cd.
with 10 cd will have 100 songs ready to play. ( 800 min. of great music  )

maybe with the original covers .. but
if a professional dj better than traveling with the original CDs without their cases.
I've seen DJs who have over 200 discs in a bag ¡¡ I think it is not necessary... with 30-40 cds you can make five different sessions...I think the most important is know the music that travels with you-..

i am not a dj i am more of a collector and i like to carry my cds around wherever i go, in my car, on flight, i just love to pop a cd in my cd player simply by looking at the art work on it. i have been using case logic folders, but somehow feel uncomfortable.

Keep all the mp3 or wave file on your comp hard disk, and at the same time take a back up by burning all of them on a DVD and then use upmost care of that DVD.
Either by puttin in a CD Case or by special Cd cases that you get.
I do this and I have cd, dvd's which are 5 years old and i can still play them.
Just make sure that you buy good quality CD or DVD otherwise you will regret in the future

You can make a compilation with the best ones you think, like Kali said.
So you can leave the originals at home.

if i wanted to make copies i would not have bothered buying the cds...i am not worried about loosing them i am worried about scratching or getting humidity all over them during transits or while they are in my caselogic. is there any thing out there better or more practical than a case logic or cd folder to store your cds.

or that a cop can tell me its not my own track but 'insert random artist name' ... i say its my own music and if he can tell me who's it is (i play underground usualy) so it will be extra funny.. since i also get most tracks for my sets before they ever released direct from artist.
and the fact its true for me doesnt meen you can tell the cop its true for you too.
cops at parties checking what the dj play... i hope they classify 'cheese' and 'too long breaks' as illeagal one day hahahah.
p.s DOMO records releases always featured blank cd with the same graphics so you can copy your own extra 1 cd original. the cost is redicoulus compare to how cool and usefull that is. labels learn! www.sattelbattle.com

02. Make wav / mp3 backup
03. listen once in player (optional) 
04. Pack cd and stack it alongside other originals*
