except you´re looking for presets/roms/samples like SCircuit....... not my way, dunno what synth got the best presets. but surge got a really nice amount of presets in good quality....

I Don't ever remember saying I use presets, I synthesis my own sounds. I however did make a comment somewhere that I had "liked the presets" of a particular instrument, and also said presets are good to "give an idea of the capabilities" of the instrument.

Def don't use presets.... I'm not a n00B to programming and synthesis and music production, just a n00B to this board. But thanks for pointing that out!

I've learned a lot on synthesis just by recreating Synth1 presets. There are some awesome banks!
Cool leads, strings, sweeps, windy fx, bells, kicks, hats, pads with sparkles
etc.

I fell in love with Prologue (Cubase 4/5 synth) recently. Basically I use most of the plugins from the sequencer I work at, but also i like Vanguard and Discovery for a quick tweak, or z3ta, Zebra and Reaktor for more complicated sounds.

For me, a simple and logical GUI is much more important then sound quality. I think it is better to create something you hear in your head immediately without losing the flow. That's why i don't really use many good sounding synths with monster interface nowadays.

i just bought largo, this thing is the king of digitals sound in vsti land and digital in a good way, from clean pads to screaming ,lofi, dirty leads , a modern sound that really cut through the mix with even no processing .
first impression it s a bit like the virus and the nord 2 got a baby.

I hear that. I used to love some of the sounds I could get out of the ES-2 but a GUI with moving parts... that's just not necassary.

I love largo Sadly I only had the demo then that ran out, but I think it's definately something I'll be purchasing soon. I'm looking for something a bit meatier to replace albino as I think I've been using it for too long. Largo's beautiful for bass also

it worth the money if u like the sound , it s hard to beat at that price ,lowest i have found is on jrrrshop with the 10 % rebat with the "forum" coupon ,it s also the only place i have find you can buy it as a downloadable lisence.

never mind brother, wasnt meant offending, maybe got you wrong. but nexus is an absolutely nonproductive synth imo as there is no rev. engineering possible, so no way to learn how the sound is done, and its just playin sounds..... they´re good quality few, sure. anyways, kinda boring to me.... not best example.

one should feel free to use whatever leads to the result. hope you dont mind, cheerz

got Albino 3 for 149 euros. Main reason, the filters (great resonance in most types, the 12dB/8ve high pass is absolutely killer!),

About the only thing I don't like in Albino is the filter (quality). Amazing that you should be so happy with them.

Knowing Reaktor and Ace, I can only say, the best vst for me is OMNISPHERE, with the former two followed closely behind...

Also, I have Absynth 3 and 4 and tend to only use Absynth 3. 4 is for preset whores...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
