hehe, pls excuse my french dood, wasnt meant offending. if you´re on pc and into reaktor, which quite can be fun, have a look at karma fx. pritty shit i cant use it,...or let´s say i will not install windows on my mac fo that 
dont know about more new stuff, found circle on the net, but dont like it. also had a look at krishna, .... nice idea, sounds deepest shit, ..... dont like it

Personally I like Synth1, Steinberg A1 and D'Cota.
TAL ElektroII and Elektrostudio ODSay for vintage analog sounds.
Toxic Biohazard for complex pads.
Alien303 and Muon Tau for basses.
When I can I'll buy also Zebra and Sylenth1.
For serious tweakage choose synths with a modulation matrix, which are very flexible and powerfull.

I like Predator, Albino and Cronox. They are similar, some with more options and tweaking possibilities than the other and different layouts, but in the end it's all about how you like the sounds coming out of the synth and the layout.. and of course.. how you like using it. |

There are so many good synths and alot of extra soundbanks for many of them.Vanguard for example has a huge amount of sound banks,albino to. Some VST`s that i use: Vanguard,Renegade,Hypersonic, Toxic,Albino,Rob Papen blue,Zeta

wouldnt say they are the best it s subjective to taste but with uhe ace and tal elektro i have as much fun than i had with my hardware synths,they have lot of sweet spot like some hardware too, i often end up with some good sounds totally by accident ,it don t hapen much with softsynths ,where everyhting have to be tweaked with attention to details in my experience.
aslo with ace it s easy to make some unknown psytrance sounds ,that haven t been heard yet or we forgot with the years (thinking to all the crazy analog fx with modulation going to audiorate for example), it have is true own sound ,analog or digital |
