HI ALL!

I have made a few tunes in what seems to be my favourite bpm, 142. then i want to boost it to 145. after export..

Are there any good softwares for doing this?
without artifacts and jumping kicks?
and without messing with the qualtiy...
to some extent..

Well hope u get what i mean!

ps. dont think sourceforge or cubase timestretch will keep the depth in the bass and so on, u know what i mean..

if you really want it to be 145 it would be better to go back to your daw and make it 145 there in stead of stretching it i think.

y i too think thats the best alternative, although it would take a good amount of work to timestretch all exports and wavs wich i use frequently in my productions..

Why would you do that?

Make it 145 at mixdown...
Why caint you just beatmatch it as you DJ?
There are convertion cheats sheets out there that tell you exactly what to set the cdj at... google it.

Hmm the transform bundle was too expensive.

Of course i can mix it in 145 live, but i do want to edit the tempo in the file, not mix it.

Im in cubase, and my problem is that if i want to change the tempo, then i would have to change all the tiny exported patches i have in my project (basslineparts, fxstuff, px)
can i export it in another tempo then i have in the sequencer?

I have troubles thinking there shouldnt be a easy way to fix it, except manually edit everything....wich is not easy.

in cubase you have to make sure that your timebase is set to musical..

first in preferences like in the picture below..

and if your samples are not set to musical, you have to do it manual for every single track now..the yellow button with the note on it indicates this..(see picture)

next track it will be automatic then..

if you do so, every sample should stay on its position and even follows the tempo automaticaly..

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/5/1/1037727/Musikal%20Timebased.tiff

hope that helps..then you can produce at 142 and when your finished go to transport bar and set the bpm you like , everything should work..

cheers

Zork
Yeah ofc i know that

The thing is i might export a fullbar bassline and then cut it at 125hz perhaps and flange it, fade it and compress it.
Then i do something similar with 20 things.

If i change tempo then, the samples will stay at the same (original) bpm, thats my problem!

Others! Thank for the tip! im gonna look into it right away!

then bounce the single tracks to audio and apply the tempo change afterwards..will be the best solution imo..           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-
