Logic has an arpeggiator object, so that you can make arps in any synth that does not have one. I use it a lot. The other DAWs should have one as well.

Drum machine: Usually build my own beats on audio tracks, but Battery is useful at times...

Atmos/pads: Waldorf Q

FX: Anything by Audio Damage, they rock! Also Uhbik...

My favorite synths do not change on a year by year basis. Only me owning more and more of said synths does. Besides what was really released in 2010 anyways if that is the purpose of this exercise?           Mastering available here:

Its not a best "new" synths, i.e. the best synths that were released in 2010. More like the synths you used mostly and favored in 2010.

I was guessing it was not a best of 2010 list as that would make it a very short list indeed.

Bassline: Virus TI/Sylenth
Drum Machine: Drumatic 3/Virus TI/Samples for other percussion, dont use a sampler usually make and bounce my own loops
leads: Virus TI/Sylenth/Absynth 5
FX: Virus TI/Sylenth/Absynth 5

Proccessing: Cubase FX along with Quadrafuzz, and a couple free vst downloaded revarbs
