massive imo is a amzing synth ,we can hear it on so many new kind of idm music ,it s like massive pushed things forward, tools help to make music evolve and massive definelety did that, not the usual va ,very modern sound that almost bring new style of music. it s not every day a synth almost create new kinds of electronic music, like a tb 303 ,sh101 ,nordlead,virus.. i forgot many but massive is in the list for sure!
could be bullshit but it s my feeling about this synth . it s just ok at creating typical va/analog sound but for pushing things forward and making fresh sound like we hear in the innovative electronics music genre it s amazing + the interface make it a breeze to program |

If Massive had a decent arpeggiator built in it would be the best synth ever. |

at first i thought it sucked big time cause i was trying to recreate classic virus, nords kind of sounds.. but with the years it growed on me.
i have been suprised how this synth is so much praised in dnb dub step or some more abstract musics.. you could throw them a classic analog synth they could keep massive insteed ,it just have the sound for many modern stuff.

when we learn a synth ,we learn to make some good sound on it, then we try to recreate these sound when trying a new synth to see if it s good..when doing this we can think a synth sux big time cause it s just not as good for these leads but it s clearly not a good way to evaluate a synth , this new synth that sux can probably make some sound way better or impossible to make with the other one but you still don t know how to program them ,thinking like that all synth can be good and usefull |

Logic has an arpeggiator object, so that you can make arps in any synth that does not have one. I use it a lot. The other DAWs should have one as well.

Exactly right.
I don't ... really ... see the point in onboard arps in synths if I'm honest - much more intersting to use the DAW one and preset browse/abuse!
Some of my best soundwashes are built from arpeggiated pads.
