imo. go for the a.s.e sound schools that are spred worldwide, amsterdam, germany, australia, ny, etc.. they usually have the best studios with the best equipment in the country and they buy a larger studio than their own if one pops out.

No Such thing.
u want a good studio - you should pay accordingly.
otherwise, u can go to the tzolellet, or DB, or levithan, here in israel, or, if you want a really good studio in say, USA, go to arizona and seek Megadeth's Studio. best there is, best there was for almost anything. just bring a mashcanta with 6 arevim upfront ;-) |

heh, jason, do u think if this guys is from Ausstralia, he knows what Zolelet/DB whatever is..
or mashkanta :) or arevim :)
anyway, it's impossible to answer this question
there're many things in which u can compare studios.... what do you want to do in that studio ?

well, as far as im concerned
its my bedroom
i go in
music comes out
i do other stuff like watch telly
listen to my hifi
it may not be much, but it contents me
but im still jealous of all the gear in evryone elses

hrmmm, what kinda set up does atmos have?...! that confuses me! atmos sounds like an abuse of the access virus, nothing more! so if he has more gear then i just lost A LOT of respect for atmos!=O...what's har-el's studio too? at least his sound is colorful:) sandman seems to have a nice studio I really like his set up, but posford also has an amazing set up! he has a bloody oscar!^_^ that's SUCH an amazing sounding synth...dark soho has a really *efficient* set up, modular for nutty sounds nord lead for not so nutty sounds... with full midi control, making it a lot easier to work with!, analog gets annoying!= not being able to record midi filter tweaks and then wanting to go back to fix somethign!...

but anyway there's a lot of set ups that will work well:). not one set up is the best, it'ss really up to the individual, and if you want to make trance you should really get your own set up if you're thinking about going into studios and using their gear. trance takes a great understanding of gear, which doesn't come reallly come from a few hours of renting a studio...well anyway GOOD trance!^_^, there's always poop trance! heheh....sorry for the long drawn out sentances i have bad english |

well bugga... i dont know if u herd har el`s psytrance sets or tracks. i was in his studio and he got the best thing in israel...
and 2 make good trance u dont need much... take my studio:
nordlead 3
yamaha qs300
roland juno 106
akai sampler s3000xl
digitech efect studio quad
analog fat freebass
makie mixer
and stienberg soundcard...
not realy much... but it works great
