I want to get myself agood sound card. and i don't really know wihch on has the best preformence and less problems. i was told about the e-mu 1212. so if someone knows or uses a good sound card that they cam recomend it will br great!           Yoav Halpern, Kfar-Blum.

I just bought the RME DSP Multiface 2 with the PCIMCI Card.....

8 Analog IN and Outs
8 Digital In and Outs
Word clock...., Midi Interface...,
great AD Comverters....
very low latency and 0 CPU Usage...
Yes....its expensive ...
but worth every penny..

Yeh, my final choice after some time indecided
was the multiface/pcicard...for that price range ,good AD converters, excelent dinamyc ratio etc...
I saw the e-mu 1820 working and it seems a good choice too...

Yes i agree, because i didnt have the money for the RME multiface i bought the 9632 is PCI and is rock solid as well!!!..
Check Motu but RME has won my modest studio (actually is the star fo it)!!

A strange question about sound card´s??!!!

what make a sound card diferent from other?
and what make them good?
the in´s and out´s?
24bit, 32bit?
the sound card thaht i have in my midi controler (ozone)is 24bit _96khz is this good?
semi professional i have benn told!!?
what do U think??

for me , motu traveler , rme fireface 800


methodic not only the 24 bit 32 bits , but also , specs change , in many things , about freq , db , etc , even on the cue mix controler , dsp chip etc... many thing envolved here           "HIGH PULSE" AKA FUSION OF DARKPSY PROJECTS

Diferent aspects when you choose a sound card:
If you have analog synths, you will wish to catch the sound real as possible...the question is:what are you doing , how do you like to work.....a ozonic interface is nice like midi controler or maybe as a pre amp.but as main sound card maybe not the awnser...the dinamyc range (the power that your sound can achieve) that make all the diference...

a good soundcard means good asio good and clean i/o
lots of i/o usefull extras stability and value for price! and most importand to fullfill your needs!
