Hey. Can you recommend what would be the best solution to compose with such sounds, that are difficult to sample and need real samples as source..?
Sample Library, or synth based on samples (sample library disguised as synth , whatever.
I am searching for something that has as large variety of quality acoustics (and ethnic sounds) as possible, but is not a CPU hog so that you are able to use many instances in a machine that is not the latest model. And something that has good user interface and search functions so that you find fast the thing that you are looking for.
Here are some alternatives that I have found:
Spectrasonics Omnisphere (50GB sample library)
- I suppose it is a CPU hog...?
- does it have a lot of acoustic and ethnic sounds..?
ReFX Nexus
- very interesting user interface
- Basic Library 4GB, some bundle with 16GB
- It also took surprisingly much of CPU
NI Kontakt (includes 43GB library...?)
Steinberg Halion
- I suppose has a really small sample library..?
Other good solutions or sample libraries..?
How about libraries of host applications? Are they so good that you don't need anything more?
