i know 3 things.,
1) convolution is a heavy process
2) to faithfully reproduce low freq responses this may be nessesary
3) the algorithm the guy wrote might require it (but it's free so shut up!

The latency is due to the algorithm. It's possible to do it with less latency, but it gets more CPU intensive.
For me. the sound is worth it. |
