there's also"
Anwida Reverb(150$) - which costs quite a lot , makes nice reverb operations and takes nothing of memory.
the Altiverb costs(450$) - it is Only for mac , so no relevant for me.but it seems to be a good reverb.
The SilverSpike costs 20$ and i think it makes the work.

Look for the new version of the Waveshell.dll (v4.01, I think)... it adds full VST automation to all Waves plugins. You need Waves 4.0 to use it though, I think. |

For SIR's latency, I just send all my dry signals (anything not going thru SIR) trhough a small delay of 8960 samples (SIR's latency). Yes, it results in an overall latency, but I cope. |

I have to totally agree with thockin's opinion of Sir. It's so far the best reverb I have ever used. I have tried the silverspike and it didn't agree with Logic too well. I have the waves one, but I wasn't incredibly impressed with it. I didn't really like Logic's onboard Reverbs very much, everything sounded really metallic IMO and it wasn't really what I wanted for the songs that I tried to use them for. I have run into the latency issue a couple of times with Sir, but not for everything... There are certain sounds that work well with it, there are others that don't... I can say that it has done wonders for most of my drums and some of my synth effects too... (Thank you Tim ) I never really knew how effective reverb could be untill a month ago... Now I no longer wonder why my drums didn't really come to life like I wanted them to...

trip,
sir is stereo here, are you sure you are using stereo ir responses?.
or maybe you have an old version.,
the latency is a bit of a bummer.,
global,
what do you not get?.

http://www.knufinke.de/sir/index_en.html
this is where you can get it.
also, it's free !!!
sir is a 'impulse response processor' <<-- litterary taken from the site
it's a program that reads Impulse Responses from files and convolutes your audio with data from this impulse response.
the impulse response is (short explanation) a recording of a very short frequency sweep (impulse) and it's reflections in a space (response).
the result is that you get a very good impression of the space that the impulse response was recorded in.
it will usually sound far more natural than a completely synthetic reverb.
