I must not agree with you, because FL is
for beginers, and the audio exporting sucks!           Just listen...

as many noted a real Professional can use FL as a scratchpad ("tiuta") for general ideas when the sound quality doesn't matter... in programming it is called "quick and dirty".
so if u spend 50$(*) on fl it doesn't mean you won't need it after you become a pro.

(50$ = 6 mcdonalds meals....not so bad for a nice proggie with free updates and support ... right?)

Fruity loops is the answer. And Psycle rules as well. But FL's exporting sound is awful. :|

Sure it takes some time to figure out, but once you understand it there's no going back.           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Mod, im sick and tired of this crap.
look, u wanna make music, become famous, make money, and not invest a dime for the equipment your gonna use? heck, i should have stolen my guitar and amplifier, cause, heck, it should be free. im sick of this bullshit. ONCE AND FOR ALL - SOFTWARE COMPANIES NEED MONEY SO YOU CAN USE THE BEST PROGRAM AVAILABLE! IF YOU STEAL FROM THEM, YOU ARE NOT HELPING THEM TO DEVELOP NEW SOFTS.

I think you should start with one of those Ejay, acid, clubtrax softwares. Learn how to loop sounds, mix, change the tempo....

Then move to some thing like fruity loops.

But if you become famous other new artists might be interested in the soft you use. And perhaps they will buy it. Or if you become rich you can just send the soft company some money. Am I lame tonight or what?           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

yes u are ....

when u come into a good shoes shop... why do u pay them for shoes ?
don't pay them, wait until u get rich and then "send them some money" - if they're not bankrupt because of your good idea untill then.

or more simple: when u sell shoes in your shoes-shop, don't take money for them, just wait untill somebody gets rich (maybe) and sends you some money (maybe).

sounds nice ?
the soft piracy needs to be taken properly - if the software is really not worth the money and the effort in its implementation/stability is not proportional to the price - customers don't like it and refuse to buy/pay...like windoz.
but if u see a great, comfortable soft, very cheap, why would you f*ck those folks ?
what can be achieved via this is:
1. little company is bankrupt, no more new and good software.
2. little company is bought by a very big company that controls the market - no more good prices, no more excitement, face to face support etc.

u better all don't cut the branch you're sitting on.

bom.

IMHO shoes and soft are not relevant. However IMO people should buy the soft they use. IMO artists should also pay for the copyrights of the samples they use.           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Reason comes with the pdf files with the instructions, print them and bind them in a book and study it thourougly. If you find out how Reason works you can make great things with it.
But still even if you make a great track it will not sound FAT. Anyway after you understand how things works move on to sequencer like logic, cubase or sonar

From my robotic point of view :
"best program for beginers to make music (Trance)"
or any other genre of electronic music
it's Cubase 3 on Atari ST , midi keyboard and some
cheap sound module with filters and good
midicontrol .
cheap setup to learn "da' basics" that everyone who
make music should know sooner or later.

In my opinion beginers should play with a
MIDI keyboard and Fruity loops, if you got
the talent and the $, buy a good mixer and
move to Cuuuuuuuuubase!           Just listen...
