I found plenty of music in this scene and others to enjouy in 2008, but it did take a fair bit of digging

About X-mas, my family really limits spending on gifts as does my girlfriend, so it was just a really nice chance to catch up with them all, and lunch was very minimal and traditional, as was the egg-nog and beers.

You choose how you spend your X-mas, not the product companies, and to judge those who enjoy it is ridiculous and very immature.

Nothing nicer than a few beers with my family and to just hang out and to make people smile by giving them a thoughtful gift.

If you don't like it no need to pay out on the ones who do, just STFU yourselves!

No we don't need to stfu. We're just giving our opinion. It's not our problem you can't deal with that. Christmass is commercial crap. I don't need a crappy holliday to catch up with loved ones. You call us immature, I call you a conformist.

actually sergeantpepper666 you are right, and this is the only side of xmass i am giving credits, the fact that ppl, family and friends can meet each other and have a good time together.but because works stops, universities are closed etc.not because suddently real enlightment comes to people and they all love each other...
it is all the other aspects of xmass that me(and mowgli i think) were critisising.           Signature:

LOL dude, I spend around $500 a month flying down at least twice a month to see my parents and my girlfriend as I live in another state.

Over here Xmas is a public holiday, so seeing as I get from December 24th - January 2nd off from work and it is not taken from my annual leave, I love it.

Considering I have 6 older siblings, both my parents, 16 nephews and nieces plus my girlfriend, getting together all at one time is rather difficult but this public holiday period gives us all holidays at the same time which allows us all to catch up together as a single unit. It is is fucking awesome

I love Xmas, and mate, I find nothing wrong with conforming if it gives me the quality of life I desire.

I'd rather be entirely happy with my life and be called a conformist than a self centred whinger like you

Don't see anything self centered about what I'm saying. You're the one who's post is full of "I I I" and "me me me".
I understand you like the possibility christmas gives you to catch up with loved ones, but don't be so self centered yourself, and see the other sides too. It's fake, ultracommercial, and so hypocritical.

Peace

No, please read again.
But I don't really enjoy this period. It's all too forced for me.
