How could BB King be any better than Joe Santriani?! The dude could run circles around the old blues geezer.....but as he said, he does not have to play 100 notes a second looking for the good note, he had found the few good notes and played them with sweet sustain and bends

wtf , jimmy page / gilmour vs malmsteen / freidman ? ... is completely different styles of music ,not psytrance , where a mouse wheel takes you as fast you want .

I was reffering to the technology available today, allowing people to do things which people with an Atari ST, a 909, an SH-101, a Korg Monopoly and an S1100 could never do, yet people that had the then, limited technology, could capture a proper (for me) psychedelic vibe.
I am not saying guitars advanced so much, but the skills did, and the then "simple" rock riffs where considered "outdated", yet carried more balls than anything new.
It was an analogy...that can easily be misinterpreted from the looks of things.
Peace out.

you're in Canada where everything is wonderfull, so its easy to say.
I have an hypothesis: the bigger the scene is, the worst it develops. countries with aqn small scene have better parties and crowd, when nthey reach 4000 or more people at a party things start going downhill.
"The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures." |

Yea, 2 votes there 5 there 10 there.. its really wierd why nobody votes anymore. Takes 1min to write down what u liked and the poll could get a little intressting instead of this.

cos the music really sucks bollocks ?
and its not the internet downloads that killed the scene , just go check out every ohter e musician making a killing using facebook/beatport.
we even have our own fake distributors who cudnt come up wit an original name and named it - Beatspace.
I can not take this genre seriously anymore at all. and ye it hurts me too and yada yada.... |

Incidentally, I am completely overwhelmed with great music all the time. It helps to have diverse tastes... but there is so much goodness coming out of the scene right now. Psytrance is still going strong in 2011!
