shouldnt the best be based on the number of sales/ downloads than anything else...isnt consumption of music the ultimate determinant of the success...how bout going to psyshop, saikosounds, and other stores to see which album from last year is "Out of Stock" and inquiring how many copies were received...and how many re-orders were placed...

what you are talkin bout would not be the best album, only the most sold album. and the result would be obvious, infected mushroom.

this is for sure a point.I think not many albums are sold out - as my first point.I can be wrong of course.
Another thing is it might be interesting which album gained most buyers.
Real prove might be wrong terms in this issue all over.
