Artist: Auricular for the deeper sound, the intelligent grooves, and most importantly, excellent music.
Album: Son Kite - Perspectives Of...
This was hard, but it was a great album, and as much as I usually disagree with their style, this is an excellent piece of music.
Compilation: Order Odonata 6
Wonderful, amazing, so many superlatives I won't even start. Saiko Pod, Vibrashpere... just so many great tracks. Strong runner ups: The Mystery of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls, Singularity (Flying Rhino)
Track: Shpongle - Star Shpongled Banner
I know the first half is pure ambient, but the ending bit is the most inspiring piece of music I've heard in the last 2 years.
Label: TIP World... With a heavy heart, they still know the work better than anyone else. But along with their usual line of dancefloor hits (in a style which I usually don't like, but some really good tracks released by this label), they excelled with the excellent Crystal Skulls compilation, which put them just a bit in front of the fierce competition.
New Artist: Sienis, for their many unreleased works, as well as Tales From the Trip on Shpastic Elastic. Watch out for more from this act! And Lish, naturally, with some blasting party stompers come in a close second.

compilations:now how the hell sould i know? i hardly have enough cash to buy artist albums, you want me to pick a compilation as well? ;)
track:oooh, hard to decide... for 01 i'll say... infected mushroom-tasty mushroom... they're new style might be strange, but this track will always give me pleasure....
lable: good question... *flips through cds* of this year? err,hmmm... tip... so many cds here from hommaga, but they're old....
new artist:well i'd say violet vision, but they're not realy new now are they? well, if you say they are... so its a vv/cosma battle for me... unless you can plug something better to my ears ^_^ |
