this is the one i like the most, especially in the intro when the bassline rises up in volume, lovin how the bassline pokes out slowly.

Just epic and when the kick comes in its just pure bliss !           www.psilocybian.com / www.facebook.com/psilocybian

ahhhh fuckin epic tunage. when i put this on my turntable it sounds like you can touch the bassline with your hands. beside the tune makes me want to freak out instantly. madness in such a great, great way.

i do know that the topic is about uberpolished porntrance kick&bass combos, i do like that from time to time and they are well made, but how effing boring are these compared to such characterful monster, innit?!

I agreed. I don't find plastik super clean basslines interesting. God knows I've heard them many times, I like the perfect amount of roughness that makes a tune dark and serious, just by the kick and bass combe...which sets the perfect base for the people to put other sounds on top and create a vibe that does not sound "bubblegum" like.

Its just my view on things...maybe because I am also in other styles of music where a perfect production is not the cleanest, its the one with the more character and all these super clean kick bass combos have as much character as Paris Hilton.

i think it s a bit cause of nostalgia we like that sound but it sure have some quality to it that are not present in today sound. a lot is cause of loudness too, one day people will realize that loundess runined all their music.. these tracks at -9 rms lot of the charm would not be there i think

i start to dig that kind of prog sound that have been posted... some tunes are really great.. it s a bit like starting it all again, slower tempo, some goa melodies.. for dancing and getting in trance some tunes are a bit similar to pre goa trance from early 90s.. the style have big potential to make tune sounding that way and with big phat production , but there is lot of cheesy comercial sound too that is more inspired by david getta than goa to ruin the party

Yep there is some real cheese out there, Question of Time Recors(? At least their VAs have this name) make the most horrible that is coming out lately and is called prog, more like TechProg with dubstep sample packs and offbeat hits allover, nothing psychedelic really..the only cool thing about this sytle of prog is the groove but I can't stand such music long
There is need for new ideas now besides this dubstep sample blabla

But when you like this more rougher style, check out Sonic Entity, that one should fit nicely to what you posted... lots of screaming acid

maybe lyctum

Or Hatikwa? This sytle is closer too older stuff I'd say, search for Panzar Records and Multiplex Records, and Maybe Lonely Forest Project...it's a similar sound and they all have lots of Free VAs and Ep's on their site to download.. if not all of them
