Getting dynaudio bm6a's. now i can hear stuff alot clearer than before on the mackie hr 824's.

The thing with the HR824s is that they don't sound nice, unless you get the mix proper...which is what you want from a monitor + the extended bottom end response means you're not second guessing what is going on in the bottom end, but bass traps are necessary is order to avoid filling your room with copious amounts of sub.
For the money, they are a great reference monitor.

My room was too small for them. I had too much bass. And I find the dynaudio's to be pretty uncoloured as well. They don't make it nicer than it is.
