Hey Psy Freaks...I'm looking to get the perfect tool to use for studio and live sets, is a control surface recommended for live use?(mackie control, TASCAM FW-1082) or should I go with an analog/digital mixer? Thanks guys!

Well i recomand you a profi HD Recorder (kompactstudio)...like: YAMAHA AW 2400, KORG D3200 or some ROLAND, but they are expensive.
I use for live, Hd Recorder + Mc505 (only as sequencer) and one synth (like Virus or Novation) connected to the Mc 505. Sometimes i use also an external effect & mastering Rack (Behringer - the cheepest one you can find on the market).
The price of this setup is somewhere arround 4000 Euro, but i think it worth the money.
My dream was to be a seriose artist with seriose equipment on the stage, not a " one click with the mouse button" artist.
With this kind of setup i can make a seriose and profesional "live act". Much better than using a laptop, much safer and also much more proffesional in the eyes of the public and why not, in the eyes of the organizers too.
I hope my advice helped you,
Boom
