BEST FREEWARE FFT analyzer for MAC

hi fellows
m planning to use my old macbook chained to my system to have a better view of the spectrum hence i'm sick of inspector free on the same screen
macbook pro-->firewire audiophile----> yamaha mg 12/4c---> REC OUT (rca) ----> macbook line in
The big question is :
Is there a FREE software that can be compared to inspector XL or spectrafoo
i don't have the bucks right now to afford one of these (or i have if i sale the macbook but where i watch it if i sold him?)
i'm triyng ISPECTRUM but i'm really in doubt about how that thing work
with NO input the FFT graph continues to move, small difference between the silence and the line input!
The same goes on the mackbook pro , with logic's out 1-2 routed to Soundflower
I also have downloaded AUDIOXPLORER but it seems only work with the built-in mic input
What do u think of ISPECTRUM?
Are there any other free wich is good?

I never bought it, downloaded the demo and it somehow not limited.. or I didn't get the limits..
I think it's an interesting idea to have a seperate computer for fft. It actually made me think about doing something with some old PC and a 10 inch screen from the recycling center.. hmm.. not that I really needed that but it would be sweet

if its an external one you would use your spdif out on your soundcard and send it to the one in an external pc or something..just create a second output in cubase and use spdif out..then you go the master bus with no latency displayed on the analyser..

what do you mean? like you want one monitor wich shows you the summing and three other monitors wich shows your groups? something like that?
you could just solo individual tracks..then only those channels are displayed in the analyser..but at the same time 4 channels seems not to be useful for me..better use your ears anyway..
better than starring at 4 screens @ the same time..

ah well..on a 4 channel track ..like a quadrophonic multichannel track..then you can route for example 4 mono signals into this 4 channel track and sepereate them in scope..
think it works like that..

Altough i don't understand what are these DEMO limitations
mybe in 30 days it disappear?

From now on i run a separate logic on the macbook, with these plugs on top
i'm wondering that maybe better i connect it with SPDIF rather passing thru the crappy yamaha mixer and double conversion
but a SPDIF cable 2 meters long is around 30€ in music shop?
It's a bunch of copper covered by gums andconnector
i have tryied with a normal RCA (2€) but it doesn't transmit any data.
They must be 75KIloohm of impedance, i don't kno cause i've got no instruments to measure impedance
Ah, a little tip
if u wanna zoom the whole macbook screen, press "CRTL" and touch the mousepad with 2 fingers (like scrolling the page=)
and it biiigs away
i found pretty useful 4 watching at a 2 m distance
