Best Drum Designer for use in Live?

So I've been looking at different drum machines/drum designers trying to decide what to try. It's been a bit more involved than expected.

I have Bazzism, and it's good for what it does, but I'd like something that could combine sample layering with synthesis for all drum sounds.

I liked the look of Reason's Kong Drum Designer from some videos I watched, but I'm not sure what'd be in the same boat for Live.

Thanks for any input.

Maybe you can try Rob Papen's Punch.

live's operator synth is not bad, it makes interesting perc sounds if you tweak the presets. if you are looking for natural drum sounds better to process samples maybe... or find instrument like the one above...           --

well, for bazzism you can group that into an instrument rack and add a sampler if you want to do synthesis + sampler, and you could load that instrument rack into a drum rack cell...

using that method you could take any synth for the synthesis part and layer it with a sampler

Once you get a full drum rack of stuff, maybe with macros for the most important controls....you'd be pretty set            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

if you're looking for something to use for live purposes, with onboard sequencer and efficient interface, I highly recommend Audio Damage Tattoo.

Its based around various TR-x0x'es so it doesn't do anything exotic like a physically modeled drum synth, like Drumaxx, does, but it does x0x sounds PHENOMENALLY. Its pretty much all I use anymore.

What makes it great are the little details. Its stupid-easy to quickly alter sounds, the sequencer is tailor made for quick real-time writing, everything is in one window, theres no gimmicks or features that go unused, its got some really awesome randomization and automation settings if one is so inclined...

My only complaint is it doesn't receive Program Change and the sequencer requires mouse use. But I really, really don't care about those anymore after using it for long enough.

Also its 70USD           .
