ok so i am totally biased, but as far as skills, track selection and flow, for me the best is absolutely Amanda!!
i also really like Liam Shy, cause he is bursting with energy and soo much fun!
looking forward to hearing other djs from outside SF as well... maybe at Bman this year...

my choice for the NorthWest is Fractalien.
he can play psytrance, downtempo, breaks, asian underground, house, ambient - all with great selections, and impeccable mixing and scratching...

Does kuda go by andy sometimes? Cause I met a psytribe dj (said he was andy) once, who has made my jaw drop and my eyes pull a 180 in my skull on more than one occasion.

actually, Power house is a new term me and Lawrence (chromatone) came up with after Dado's set last psy tribe. Perfectly describes the new deep full on, with housey elements that is quite popular right now. stuff ala Spun.... |

I like the term Power House. It describes well the music dado played at the party. We are not talking about a visor kind of house or candy happycore, though. Full on with pure progressive house elements that D-nox would play. Breaky housy, yet trance. it was really nice. That was one of the best morning trance ever heard. I don't know about Spun, but yeah that was DADO.
Kuda is my favorite too. I used to like his night time set, but now for me the best when he plays late morning. He is great story teller... Tell me what you listen, and I'll tell you what you are.

it looks like the whole roast of dj's that pretty much active in north american psysphere got mentioned under this topic
there is few dj's that defenetly deserve a big shout out(in no particular order):
luis(influx), jason(subtlechaos), kife and vitalik(omnitribe), andrey(polarlight), dino and dave henshaw(changmian), nick tornetta from seatle, gavin(spectra) (even though he moved out of us, still he is east coast own, will be a good opportunity to see him at gaian mind)
p.s power house is defenetly a great term for neohifiasshakingfullon(-2.5 on pitch control) |
