hmmm, tough one. I thought Blue Spectral Monkey's (touch samadhi) set in chicago last month was fantastic. my local hero in Oregon is Fractalien (owner of ChaosExistence.com), tho i'm also partial to a'damn/the Goa Constrictor.
Spyros (psytribe) was my fav at burning man last year, closely followed by Obu (astral psyentists)
i heard Arjuna's Hurrican frances mix online and thought it kicked major ass
shit there's just too many. |

Oh my god.....forget all those trainwreckin' DJs....
DJ Hidroponik is by far the best psytrance DJ around...hands down
I've heard all of these Djs listed here from the west coast and they can't even come close to comparing the skills and the track selection/flow...., except for a select few (Mubali, Witchdokta, Ricardo) but that's pure west coast, not sure about the east, besides BSM

i saw slacker a while back in ATL and it was mind blowing, if you ever get the chance to see him go! just saw jonathon lisle this past weekend and he really impressed me, but as far as psy goes i have seen KRI many times and his sets can be insane, especially back in the day (man those were good times), vitalik out of NY was nice too,
many djs i havent heard though, so lets have a competition all djs post theyre new sets at theyre website, and let everyone here judge.
just a thought

what about Moontribe Treavor?
he has insane technical ability, and is one of the few dj's (not saying we cant, or dont at times) that normally key mixes
thats deff, got to account for something...
and bodhi, when was the last time you heard a trainwreck from me or greg ? |

Treavor fuckin rocks - skills and music selection both. One of the very few DJs that can make other DJs dance. He's there between 10am - noon in my perfect line-up.
ps -
thanks for the compliments, guys.

Who here actually heard a lot of DJs from different regions of North America?? seems everyone is voting for their regional hero.. which makes sense, since the scene is so localized and there isn't much interaction between, say, Texas, Ohio, and Oregon. which makes the question kind of useless, in a way.
Having said that, the best US DJs I've heard are Waater from Seattle and Solomoon from Colorado.

ive heard several different djs and most metion do not train wreck too much that ive heard,
and i quess it would be better to say who's ya favorite dj because there could never be a best. its all about your best experience and that could be any dj any moment any place |
